Scrappisode II - Bada Bing, Bada Boom - Da Scrappy Chihuahua Podcast

So Bill says to me one night, "You should look into recording these shows yourself so you'll know how in case anything should ever happen to me. Could be you wake up one morning and ol' Bill's not around anymore. You wouldn't want your show to be stuck." Of course I'm paraphrasing but that's as verbatim as I can remember. So he told me what shareware to use and described his method. I got to thinking about other ways and found a good one but it would depend on the actors' willingness to put in a little extra work. Fortunately all were very willing and suddenly the entire sound changed! What was it that we did? Sorry. It's like that dish soap commercial from the '70s: "Shhh! Ancient Scrappanese secret!"

Beth was getting back to singing with her band and so I began searching my Facebook friends for possible hams who might like to have a little fun with this. I saw a note posted by one of them about performing as an alter-ego, personifying, and some talk of masks and why they're used. I commented on it and got an appreciative response. On a gut instinct I asked the lady if she'd be interested in playing characters on the podcast, like old radio shows. She decided it would be an interesting new avenue for herself and so came Cilla Albee into the Green Room. Bill, Michael, Joe, Cilla and I worked on some ideas for the program, we rehearsed Script II and revised and improvised on the spot.

Cilla did a great job as the doctor and as Scrappy's mama, Lola. Joe solidified his role as Ace. And Michael brought us the very first villain. Or is that, bully? Dominic the Doberman. Yes. He does have a little bit of Baby Huey in him. LOL! It was my first attempt at editing/mixing. I was pretty happy simply by accomplishing it. I did notice some long pauses of silence. Those were the first things I worked on eliminating in Scrappisode III. But here is Scrappisode II - Bada Bing, Bada Boom
